PHOTOGRAMMETRY LAB
ENTITY PROFILE
The Laboratory of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing at Vigo University has been
working for the last 12 years in reseach-related activities with technologies such as
GPR, LiDAR and photogrammetry and their application to various sectors including
environmental and civil engineering, transport and marine engineering.
The research group is currently made up of 15 people with a multidisciplinary profi le
(civil engineers, computer engineers, physicists and mathematicians). The group has
participated in research projects amounting to more than 2 M€ and has published over 50

Methodology for the architectonic and archaelogical heritage characterization

Measurement of ship prototypes using a laser scanning technique.
Aplication of geomatic techniques to dimensional-structural analysis and
preservation of singular historic bridges.
Close range photogrammetry applied to the semi-automated measurement of
facades.
Application of close range photogrammetry to deck measurement in
recreational ships.
Observatory of masonry arch bridges. Management system OPAF - SIG.
