ELECTRÉN, S.A. is a company that forms part of the corporate group VÍAS Y
CONSTRUCCIONES, S.A., that belongs to GRUPO ACS, a leading company in
infrastructure development in the areas of civil and industrial engineering.
ELECTRÉN is specialized in railway energy systems, from project conception through
to its operation and maintenance. The company develops its activity nationally and
internationally, with offi ces in Madrid, Barcelona, France, Poland and USA.
The high professional qualifi cations of our team and our own and specifi c machinery
fl eet, allow us to offer engineering, construction and maintenance solutions to any railway
traction project.

interoperability standards.
Two laying wire and catenary renovation trains. These vehicles allow the
renovation of a whole section during a night power cut.
SENCO. Interlock safety system for drive substations and garages.

MAS. Energy remote control system for railways disconnector, through IEC
870-5-101 and IEC 870-5-104 protocols.
ART10. Distributed Integrated Control System for High Speed 1 x 25 kV/ 2 x
25 kV substations. Ongoing.
ELECTREN has been pioneer in the design and construction of mobile
substations in container for heavy railways.
Development of bitension 600/1.500 Vcc mobile drive substations, for metros
and trams. Ongoing.
ELECTREN with the UNIVERSIDAD CARLOS III in Madrid, has created the TRADIS
professorship for the research of the platforms of electric sizing for railways. Ongoing.
Rigid catenary system certifi cate in Spain and Poland.
