Patentes Talgo is a multinational company manufacturing railway rolling stock and
maintenance services. It was founded in 1942 to commercialize a new type of train
designed by Alejandro Goicoechea and funded by Jose Luis Oriol. Since then, the company
has designed and manufactured many trains, introducing new revolutionary technologies
such as the guided independent wheel, the natural tilting and the variable gauge axes.
The main products of Talgo are High Speed and Very High Speed passenger trains,
based on the original design of the company. Design skills in lightweight construction,
railway dynamics and traction are within the company portfolio.
