ENTITY PROFILE
Ommatidia LIDAR provides solid-state 3D camera solutions for different markets including
railway, aerospace, industrial robotics and road transportation. The company has a proprietary
technology that is inspired in the compound eye of insects, where the scene is recovered by the
combination of thousands of direction sensitive elements. This novel approach allows radically

higher resolution and range than is possible with state-of-the-art solutions. With offices in
Madrid (Spain) and Noordwijk (The Netherlands), the company is part of the ESA business
incubation program. It is also a recipient of the NEOTEC grant of the Spanish Centre for
Industrial Technology Development (CDTI).

High-resolution 3D and 4D LiDAR systems for environment monitoring, obstacle
detection and corridor mapping.

Metrology portals with high-accuracy vibration and shape measurement capability for
characterization of passing assets during operation.

Image and data processing to extract decision-oriented information from the 2D-3D/4D
point clouds.
