ENTITY PROFILE
IBV is a Technological Center that works at international level focusing its activities in
ergonomics and human factors. The areas of activity are addressed to the assessment of
operators, manufacturers of vehicles and components in the development and evaluation
of railway vehicles cabs and control desks (screens design, information systems, desks)
considering ergonomics from a physical (reaches, spaces, vibrations, noise)and cognitive
perspective (mental load). Another workline is addressed to the study of passenger needs
(condisering, especially, elderly and PRMs), sear comfort, design of interior spaces,
accesibility and thermal and acoustic comfort. UNIVERSITIES AND RESEARCH CENTRES

Psychoacoustics and Passenger Discomfort inside High-Speed Trains.

Ergonomic adaptation of the seats for the TALGO Trenhotel.

CITADIS. Cognitive ergonomics applied to the design of HMIs in tramway

EURO Light Locomotive cab design according to ergonomic criteria.

EMAD. System form monitoring driving behaviour implementable in any
means of transport.
