ENTITY PROFILE
Tekniker is a private nonprofit Research Center, whose corporate purpose is focused on the
development of applied research activities aimed at improving the competitiveness of
companies through technology transfer. With extensive experience in the development of
applied research projects in various sectors such as machinery and capital goods,
infrastructure, renewable energy, aeronautics, automotive, agri-food, health ... for which there
are different solutions related to the development of mechatronic systems, industrial
maintenance, automation and industrial robotics, functional surfaces, inspection and

Obstacle detection project on track through artificial vision. Detect obstacles on track, from the
image provided by a laser sensor installed in the infrastructure.
Advanced surface treatments. Development and application of Surface Treatments with
LASER (hardening and tempering) to increase performance and service life.
Dependable Embedded Wireless Infrastructure (DEWI) (ARTEMIS 2013): Wireless connectivity
and interoperability solutions in smart cities considering everyday physical environments.
Secure Connected Trustable Things (SCOTT) (H2020-ECSEL-2016-2-IA): That is: things
interconnected by reliable wireless technology and valuing privacy. TRL: 6-7.
CERCOAT New Ceramic Sputtering Targets Manufactures by SPS using tailored powders.
TNew heated windshields by deposition of layers by sputtering magnetrón were developed.
New environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies for urban systems (ECOTRANS):
Wheel/rail interface tests, study of wear and friction and characterization of various materials.
One hundred percent Spanish high-speed integrated system for interoperable rail networks
(AVI2015): Characterization of lubricating oils and greases, tribological tests and bearing tests.
