Spanish Railways Foundation (FFE)
ENTITY PROFILE
The Spanish Railways Foundation (FFE) is a public non-profit foundation constituited in 1985
by RENFE and FEVE. Its board of trustees brings together the most relevant agents of the
sector: Renfe, Adif, Adif Alta Velocidad, Euskotren, FGC, FGV, SFM, ETS, Metro Madrid,
Redalsa, Cetren, Asociación Turística Ferroviaria and Puertos del Estado. FFE's mision is to
promote awareness and use of rail transport, research and training on railway and ensure the
custody of the historical railway heritage.
It develops own research through its four Research Groups and a R&I management
programme aimed at promoting innovation, competitiveness and internationalisation of the
Spanish Railway Sector, which is carried out from the Technical Secretariat of the Spanihs
Railways Technological Platform (PTFE).
