DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION

This is a national and international geotechnical laboratory, where most of
the soil and rock geotechnical tests are be performed to fulfill the
requirements of the civil works, in particular for railway.
A multidisciplinary team of several doctors in civil engineering and geology
from the University of Burgos, who hold a patent, share their know-how and
wide national and international professional experience, to resolve and
develop advanced solutions for Geotechnical, Geological, Geophysical and
Geothermal problems.

TEST FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, TYPES OF TESTING AND/OR 53*"-4

* Electrical resistivity meter.
* Portable seismograph (MASW, refraction, REMI, etc).
* Monitor system and instrumentation sensors (acceleration, displacement, strain, stress, energy...).
* Dynamic probing super heavy penetration equipment.
* Analysis of energy eficiency in penetration tests (a device for measuring energy eficiency is already patented by the
organisation).
* Specific equipments for Geotechnical tests: direct shear test device, triaxial device, compression loading devices,
oedeometer, permeameters, Proctor compaction equipment, humidity chamber...
* Software for geotechnical modelling (Geoslope, Plaxis...).
