         DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION

        Measurement of noise levels and vibrations characterization on
        components as well as for full vehicle.
        * NOISE: Verification and validation testing according to main international
        standards.
        * VIBRATION: Measurement and analysis of vibration levels of components
        and sub-assemblies for compliance with standards and limits.
        * MODAL ANALYSIS: Testing for determination of component and/or
        vehicle natural frequencies, vibration modes and shapes using different
        techniques as most suitable.

         TEST FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, TYPES OF TESTING AND/OR TRI"LS

        NOISE
        * Full vehicle noise testing, integral sound footprint study as well as the effect of the different subsystems and
        auxiliaries.
          - Interior noise with train stopped and moving (ISO 3381, EN 15982).
          - Exterior noise with train stopped and train passing by (ISO 3095, TSI).
          - Warning devices (EN 15153-2, UIC 644).
          - Sound intensity (ISO 9614, ISO 3744, ISO 3746).
          - Speech intelligibility (IEC 60268-16).
        * Tests for the measurement and acoustic characterization of standalone equipment.

        VIBRATIONS
        Some of the analysis performed are:
          - Calculation of FRF to determine the vibration transmission between different components and suspension stages.
          - Order tracking in rotating elements.
          - Comparison of the accelerations measured in operating conditions with the referenced curves of standard EIC 61373.

        MODAL ANALYSIS
        Determination of natural frequencies, vibration modes and shapes using different techniques as most suitable.
          * Conventional modal analysis:
               - Impact testing method.
               - Relaxation method.
               - Shaker excitation method.
          * Operational modal analysis.
