DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION

The Behavioural analysis Laboratory of GIDAI Group, specializes in
research on human movement and behaviour during evacuation process.
With the aim to improve levels of safety in transportation, an intensive and
long-term partnership with several companies and institutions, nationally
and internationally, has been achieved. Among our activities are: design
and performance of experiments, data collection on human performance
(evacuation drills, exercises), development of computer models and
stochastic evacuation sub-models, Decision Support Systems, etc.

A video camera system for the collection of behavioural parameters composed by:

* 12 Cameras DOMO: Electronic Shutter: PAL/NTSC, Image Sensor: CCD Sony 1.4”, Effective pixels PAL: 752 (H)
x582 (V), Angle of view 51.2-5.58º, Day & Night: mechanically removable.
* 24 Cameras 2 Megapixel CMOS-based Network Camera: Image Sensor CMOS 1/3”, Effective pixels 1600 (H) x 1200
(V), Working Temperature -10ºC~+60ºC, Day&Night: mechanically removable (ICR).
* 15 High-definition Cameras: Dimensions: 1.6”x2.4”x1.2”, Weight: 167 gr., HD Video resolution modes: 1080p, 960p,
720p, WVGA, Sensor type 1/2.5” HD CMOS.
* 36 NanoStation M5: 5GHz Hi Power 2x2 MIMO AirMax TDMA Station.

RTL system:

* Real-time location Ekahau system (RFID), functional with any 802.11b/g/n standard 2.4 GHz frequency.
* Hot Smoke Machine, which allows to create more real emergency scenarios.
