Railway Signalling Systems Laboratory has been involved in a number of
activities related to railway (http://www.ceit.es/en/industrial-sectors/railway)
such as:
• Development of railway systems up to SIL4
• Development of on-board positioning systems
• Railway EM noise characterization and modelling
• Zero on-site testing
• FP7 and H2020 projects coordination and technical contribution

CEIT’s Railway Signalling Systems Laboratory has the following tools:
* Design tools:
• Embedded systems design tools (RF, HW, VHDL, SW).
• Electromagnetic simulation tools.
• IP communication management tools.
* Validation tools:
• Embedded systems validation equipment (RF, HW, VHDL, SW).
• Wireless communications on-board field testing equipment.
• EMC testing laboratory.
• Eurobalise basic laboratory.
* Develop propietary solutions (some in progress):
• IP communication emulator.
• Euroalise, air-gap and BTM emulator.
• Euroloop, air-gap and LTM emulator.
• On-board positioning simulation platform.
• On-board ETCS interfaces saboteurs.
