DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION
We have the most advanced techniques at our disposal, which enables us
to discover the characteristics, behaviour and properties of the materials we
use, be they metallic or polymeric. Depending on the results we obtain, we
will select for each case the material that guarantees the required in-service
quality and behaviour.
We design new materials – not only to improve their properties, but we also
take into consideration the tech specs of the product, its manufacturing
processes and the cost objectives which have been set.

* Optical microscope with advanced image analysis software.
* Electronic microscope.
* Metallographic equipment.
* Spark spectroscopy.
* Infrared spectroscopy.
* Non-destructive testing (Ultrasonic and X-ray inspection).
* Durometers to apply Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers, Shore D and A.
* Vickers and Knoop microhardness.
* Dynamic and capillary rheometer.
* Thermal analysis (TGA, DSC and DMA).
* Impact pendulum with which to apply the Charpy and Izod methods.
* Specific equipment to study the heat deflection temperature (HDT) and the (VICAT) softening temperature.
* Certified testing for the characterization of some metallic materials:
Coating thickness measurement, as per UNE-EN ISO 2178 (Section 6.1).
Surface appearance of coatings, as per UNE-EN ISO 1461.
Vickers hardness, as per UNE-EN ISO 6507-1.
* Test facilities and equipment to obtain products that can be validated by means of the following:
Twin screw extruder.
RHEOMIX 3000p internal mixer.
Calender and roller line.
Mixing equipment for MMCs.
Foundry installations.
Thermolab furnace for ceramic sintering.
