DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION

The scope of the laboratory is the research and performance of mechanical
and physico-chemical tests of composite materials and thermosetting and
thermoplastic polymers for their characterization. The laboratory is
accredited under ISO 17025 for several tests.

* Three universal testing machines with the possibility of testing at low and high temperatures with load cells of 150,
100, 10, 5 and 1 kN. Extension indicators. Mechanical tests: tensile, compression, interlaminar shear strength, in-plane
shear strength, plain compression, plain tension, compression after impact, single lap shear, mode I and mode II
fracture toughness, climbing drum peel, flatwise tensile and compression of sandwich.
* Machining and geometrical verification laboratory.
* Thermal and hydrothermal conditioning laboratory.
* Chemical laboratory.
* Optical microscopy.
* Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).
* Dynamic-mechanical analysis (DMA).
* Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
