UNIVERSIDAD DE CÓRDOBA
ENTITY PROFILE
Two centuries of history endorse the trajectory of the University of Cordoba, which, founded as
such in 1972, is rooted in the Free University of the late 19th century. Its youth and its average
size - the UCO has 21,000 students, just over 1,200 lecturers and 700 service staff- have given
it the dynamism necessary to enter the 21st century as a University of high teaching quality and
proven scientific solvency. The Instrumentation and Industrial Electronics research group (IEI)
