ENTITY PROFILE
The Institute of Control Systems and Industrial Computing (Institute ai2) is one of the most
important research organisations at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). The
Institute ai2 is located at the Polytechnic Science Park and it has over 100 researchers in
areas of industrial engineering, information technology, telecommunications, electronics,
automatic and graphics. The aim of Institute ai2 is to disseminate the results of R&D to
companies and institutions. Since 2000 it has developed many (national and international)
research projects and agreements, identifying the needs of companies and institutions in
order to provide feasible solutions tailored to their operation. The Institute ai2 has many
different results and patents, and is supported by a wide range of corporate sponsors. UNIVERSITIES AND RESEARCH CENTRES

RobustDISAT. Constraint Satisfaction Techniques for Robust Solutions in
Dynamic and Distributed Systems.
Masport. Automation and simulation for the evaluation and improvement of
capacity, performance and service level in container port terminals.
OptiHper. Optimization of shifts, task allocation, schedules and timetabling of
personnel services.
