DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION

Laboratory of international reference, with capacity for the characterisation,
test and assessment of physical-mechanical properties of raw materials,
semi-elaborated products and final products or products in end-use
conditions.

Test house for big structural components on standard or custom-made test
benches.

TEST FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, TYPES OF TESTING AND/OR 53*"-4

* STRUCTURAL TEST laboratory for small and big components reaching loads up to 5MN performing tests such as
static, fatigue and damage tolerance.
* MODAL TEST laboratory by means of electrodynamic shaker excitation and response measured through
accelerometers.
* IMPACT TEST laboratory for low and high energy impacts with the help of an impact gun throwing big impactors and
velocity up to 150m/s.
* Universal test machine for material characterisation.
* Design, stress calculation, manufacturing, assembly and instrumentation of test benches including load, displacement,
pressure or temperature control.
* Equipment availability including more than 70 hydraulic jacks, 100 load cells, 2000 strain gauge acquisition channels,
LVDTs, accelerometers, pressure transducers, thermocouples, torque sensors, etc.
* Auxiliary monitoring by means of high speed videocameras, virtual witnessing, non contact displacement and stress
measurement and infrared thermography.
* Testing facilities on physical-mechanical, materialography, chemical analysis, non destructive and
corrosion are included according to European and other International standards.
