EMC LAB
ADMINISTRADOR DE INFR. FERROVIARIAS (ADIF)
DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION
Electromagnetic Compatibility means the ability of equipment to function
satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without introducing
intolerable electromagnetic disturbances to other equipment in that
environment. Following the Directive 2004/108/EC, standards have been
developed to create a guidance related to electromagnetic compatibility in
railway environments.
AREAS OF ACTIVITY
t Assessment of Electromagnetic Compatibility between t Verification of compliance with the UNE-EN 50121-2.

world.
TEST FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, TYPES OF TESTING AND/OR 53*"-4
The EMC Laboratory consists of:
* Signal analyzers.
* Loop antennas: Magnetic field measurement (9 KHz - 30 MHz).
* Biconical antennas: Electric field measurement (30 MHz - 300 MHz).
* Log periodic antennas: Electric field measurement (300 MHz - 6 GHz).
* Equipments for spectral analysis of narrow band signal.
* Measuring equipment of current and voltage.
* Uninterruptible power supply.
* Surge protective appliances.
* Electric generator.
Emission tests consist of radiated emissions measurements of the whole railway system in the frequency range of 9
KHz to 1 GHz.
