DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION

Energy Lab allows testing of electrical equipment by connecting to the rail
network 3.000V DC, allowing the validateion of its functionality in real
operating conditions. It also allows testing equipment isolated railway
network with DC voltages of 1500V or 3.000V and nominal power up to
12MW and 72MW for 5 minutes.
The laboratory's main purpose is to validate equipment, procedures or
systems in a real environment without the constraints of facilities related to
railway operations.

t Testing power converters 1,5kVdc or 3kVdc

t Testing energy storage equipment
t Testing of systems that interact with the LAC

* 6MW rail traction transformers.
* 3MW rectifier (3kVcc / 1,5kVcc).
* Power electronic converter 500kV 3kVcc-900Vcc.
* OCL connection to 3kVcc.
* Trench safety equipment for testing energy storage.
* Functional testing of power equipment for 3kVcc connected to the actual rail network.
* Functional testing of power equipment to 3kVcc or 1,5kVcc isolated railway network.
* Testing equipment in trench safety.
