         DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION

        Static testing of vehicles (using portable test benches) and dynamic
        on-track running tests on real operating conditions for vehicle ride dynamics
        verification and validation.

        CETEST also provides tailored made system (Instrumented Wheelsets) for
        wheel-rail contact forces measurement to train manufacturers, train
        operators and infrastructure managers.

         TEST FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, TYPES OF TESTING AND/OR TRI"LS

        STATIC CHARACTERIZATION
        * Verification and validation testing according to main international standards: EN 14363, UIC 518, US CFR 49, etc.
        * 3 sets of portable fully autonomous test benches for shipping to customer´s premises for local testing avoiding costs
        (freight, time) of vehicle shipment.
        * Instrumentation: inclinometers, displacement sensors, load cells.

        DYNAMIC ON-TRACK MEASUREMENTS
        * Verification and validation testing according to main international standards: EN 14363, UIC 518, US CFR 49, ISO
        2631, ENV 12299, etc.
        * Instrumentation: accelerometers, displacement sensors, strain gauges, gyroscopes, wheel/rail forces (see below for
        more information), other special sensoring systems.

        A sensing system able to measure, in an uncoupled manner, the contact forces associated to the wheel / rail interaction.
        Tailored made extensometric instrumentation, advanced communication and acquisition and complex post processing
        algorithms offering unique performance and accuracy. Main technical characteristics:
          - Adaptable to any wheel and axle configuration and geometry.
          - Adaptable communication solutions with the wheelset (inc. optical telemetry system without batteries for drilled axles)
          - Calibration and verification made in both static and rolling conditions.
          - Patented methodology, tested in all market segments (metro, freight, high speed, locomotives...).
        Most of the customers are train manufacturers using this system for new vehicle homologation. However, operators and
        infrastructure managers also use these Instrumented WheelSets for advanced track measurement which can allow for
        optimization of track maintenance.
