DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION

Mechanical integrity, fatigue, endurance, reliability and functional
performance testing of various rotating elements and components of the rail
vehicle running gear.
Testing according to international and national standards and, when
demanded, according to special standards and specifications.

TEST FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, TYPES OF TESTING AND/OR TRI"LS

BEARING AND AXLE BOXES TESTING
* Functional and performance testing according to main international standards: EN 12082.
* 2 Independent test benches in our specialized bearing laboratory (motor speed: up to 3000rpm; loading: up to 200 kN
per wheel bearing).
* Instrumentation: temperature probes, speed sensors, load cells.
* On site as well as remote monitoring and control features.

WHEEL & AXLES
* Fatigue and endurance tests according to main international standards: EN 13260, EN 13261, EN 13262.
* 1 Multipurpose test bench for wheels and axles verification through eccentric load application (frequency control: up to
30Hz, load: up to 200.000Nm).
* 1 Modular test bench for biaxial testing of wheels:
- Elastic wheel characterization.
- Monoblock wheel characterization.

GEARBOXES
* Endurance and functional tests for gearboxes design verification.
* 1 Test bench for non-load studies: flush, grease / oil distribution, grease / oil and water tightness.
* 1 Test bench with load application in 4 square configuration (power: 350 kW motor - up to 1 MW gearbox testing;
speed range: up to 6000 rpm; torque range: up to 10.000NM).
* Instrumentation: speed and torque measurements, temperature probes, accelerometers and microphones.
