DESCRIPTION AND GOALS OF THE ORGANISATION

Technology Development Center of Remote Acquisition and Data
Processing, an interdisciplinary group formed by professors, technicians
hired for project implementation and PhD students. It is a TECNIO group,
offers ISO 9001 certification and a Metrology Laboratory with ISO 17025.
The group's mission is to contribute to the development of society and
increase the competitiveness of companies, developing instrumentation
technologies and smart sensor systems, with cross application to all
industrial and productive fields. It applies quality standards in its activity to
achieve high levels of excellence.

TEST FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, TYPES OF TESTING AND/OR TRI"LS

SARTI-UPC has equipment and instrumentation for carrying out projects both of technology transfer to companies and
research, such as a climatic test chamber, an hyperbaric chamber, EMF meter, multifunction calibrator, portable
calibrator, thermal imager, event counter, shaker, optic fiber fusion, frequency generator, EMI meter, GPS receiver,
sources of vibration and noise, sound level meter, power supplies, underwater observatory OBSEA, weather buoy and
weather land station.
These facilities and equipment allow for offering different kinds of services:
* ENAC accredited metrology: dimensional calibration.
* Calibration and verification of electric scope, temperature and humidity.
* Environmental, impact, isolation and vibration acoustic studies.
* Light pollution and thermographic research.
* Measurement of Magnetic Fields.
* Custom testing: adaptation to standards, durability tests, aging equipment.
Furthermore, they facilitate the development of activities for project implementation, the most relevant of which
including:
* Registration system for braking and acceleration tests.
* Use of certified technologies for the railway industry.
* System for measuring the energy consumed by train units.
* Test systems for the aging of electric motors.
* Development of a web app for the management of the calibration plan performed by the Metrology Laboratory.
* Study for the choice of a contactless measuring system.
* Design and manufacture of a data acquisition system for testing on ships and railway premises.
* Test and development system. Fast prototyping.
